The end has come
I have finally made the decision to go ahead and delete this blog. Our family life is just keeping me too busy to have time to update it anymore. With minor case of OCD, I can't leave it up and not do anything with it. I will constantly feel like I'm behind and I can't handle that. I do, on the other hand, constantly update Facebook, with pictures and videos. If you want to keep up with the girls and our family, just find me on Facebook. Send me the friend request and I'll reply. (I know that Aunt Judy and Mary Kay are probably not happy to read this - Sorry guys.) Trust me, if you are new to Facebook it is very easy to use. Just don't blame me if you get addicted!

The Belle of the Ball
My "Belle" of the Ball!Last weekend I took Layla to Belle's Ball. The local Arts Foundation is putting on Beauty and the Beast in a couple weeks. This was a fundraiser for them and it gave us a sneak peak at the show and the opportunity to take pictures with some cast members. They had a little dinner and sang some songs from the show. They also had a band that played and all the cast members got out there and danced with us. During the auction part I won a set of backstage passes for Layla and myself along with a shirt for the cast to sign and a picture with the cast when she is there. We are very excited to go and see the show.
Layla had some friends that joined us at the Ball as well. The girls had a blast just dancing the night away. Layla was so excited when she recognized the girl playing Belle from our church. Here are some pictures from the night.

She's got legs
Hitting the potty training hard at our house. This weekend Zelly will be sporting the "training look." This consists of underwear and a shirt. Thank goodness we have hardwood floors and that the weather is beautiful outside.
You might wonder how you keep such a nice figure and gorgeous legs????
Well exercise of course!

A Real Man...
My poor husband is out numbered at our house. With a wife, 2 girls and a female dog - he's way behind in the count. Therefore, he is subjected to "girly" things we do around the house. One of our favorite things to do is dance and sing. The girls love it. We sing real songs, we sing made up songs, we turn up the radio and just dance until we can't breath sometimes.
The other night I wasn't feeling so well. We had a long day and my back was just shot. I needed some time to rest. My wonderful husband took over. I made dinner and he graciously fed the girls, did the dishes and game them a bath. As I was resting I heard some singing. Hmm...new song...so it caught my attention. He was in there washing the dishes and singing a funny made up song with the girls. It was the most beautiful thing I have heard in a while. Takes a real man to sing with my girls! I'm pretty sure he has no idea I heard them.

Where does time go???
Oh my, now my friends are pointing out how far behind I am on my blogging and threatening to update for me (thanks Amy!) Maybe I should take them up on it.... I know it has been over 4 weeks since my last post so here's the short version.
Layla has been to many fun birthday parties, and still has more to come this summer. She has made some very good friends down here and I'm so proud of the beautiful person she is becoming.
Zelly is starting to chat up a storm, in our actual English language! She like to repeat everything Layla says, down to actually mimicking her movements as well. It is a real hoot to watch, especially when they don't know you're watching!
I had my back surgery at the end of April. My mom came and stayed with us for 3 weeks. We all loved having her around and I can't thank her enough for all her help. How blessed our family was to have her with us.
Layla had her ballet recital, last day of preschool, last soccer game, many t-ball games, etc... She is a busy kid and I love that. We all thrive better on a schedule and she keeps us running lately.
I had a birthday. Oh yeah, 33! Can't say I'm all that excited about it. Mother's Day has past and how awesome was it that I actually got to spend it with my Mom as well!
Anwar and I took the girls to a Taylor Swift concert. It was a first for both of them. Zelly made it through the two opening acts and into Taylor's first song before she crashed. Layla made it about another hour, but still crashed before the show was over. By then it was 10p and my girls are pretty religious about hitting the sack at 8p. I was proud of them. They both loved the concert and of course now we play her CD in our car and sing along, ALL THE TIME. (That is in CAPS because you know Moms know what it is like to hear the same music over and over and over in the car....but hearing the girls sing along never gets old!)
I'll get some new pictures posted soon.

Easter and beyond
I know I am getting behind on my posts. Forgive me please! I have 3 weeks of LIFE slapping me in the face. In these three weeks Layla has ballet, soccer, t-ball, ballet spring show, first t-ball game, last soccer game and I have back surgery. Somewhere in there I need to get my house cleaned so my Mom can come stay to help after the back surgery. Not the regular clean, the "make your Mom proud" clean. You know what I'm talking about! Whew....How do people with more than one active kid do it? My hat goes off to you.
Thought I'd just share some random pictures of the girls. Hopefully I'll be back soon.
